TRAC Membership

In order to fulfill its mission, TRAC relies on the skills, talents and experiences of our current board members who volunteer to implement its various programs and services.

TRAC employs individuals when needed and on a temporary basis for clerical, design, technology and bookkeeping activities.

Current Board Members

  • Bill Barnhart

    (Beardstown, Cass County) has a B.A. in Arts Education and taught art in grades one through twelve in Cass County schools. He is involved in Beardstown community activities and the park district programs.

  • Michelle Berg

    (Carrollton, Greene County) is a founding member of the Calhoun Art Guild, a group formed to bring together artists and to showcase their work to the rural community. Berg is a traditional (non-adhesive) bookbinder. She is the director at the McCully Heritage Project in Kampsville and is also an archeologist.

  • Derek Doyle

    (Canton, Fulton County) is a tie-dye artist, stay-at-home educator, and member of the Fulton County Arts - a nonprofit organization that focuses on the arts to build community, encourage involvement, promote social equity, support cultural needs, and celebrate diversity within the rural communities of Fulton County.

  • Katie Houser

    (Mt. Sterling, Brown County) is a registered nurse and the communicable disease coordinator at the Morgan County IL Health Department, formerly working at the Illinois Department of Corrections. She is active creating art and encouraging others to do so - from her child to senior citizens. She is currently organizing artists and artisans to form a new group called Brown County Arts Alliance.

  • Chet Lien

    (Macomb, McDonough County) has thirty years experience in public and private schools as a teacher and administrator. Chet has an MFA in Theatre, a MS-ED in Educational Leadership, an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Education, all from Western Illinois University. Dr. Lien has professional experience in theatre production.

  • Steve Larimer

    (Macomb, McDonough County) was the Art/Technology teacher at Macomb Junior High School. He retired in May 2019. He is now focusing on his own art (painting, ceramics, artistry with wood) and working with the Two Rivers Arts Council. He holds a BS in Art and an MS in Instructional Technology from Western Illinois University.

  • Rick Noble

    (Havana, Mason County) is an artist who works primarily in abstract painting. He enjoys incorporating found objects such as natural resources into experimental pit fired clay pottery. He is active in local arts as President of the Mason County Arts Council and as a member of the Illinois River Valley Artists.

  • June Russell

    (Lewistown, Fulton County) recently retired after 32 years as a public school educator. She earned master’s degrees in Gifted Education and Reading and was certified by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. Along with TRAC, she enjoys the arts through music and photography and participating in outdoor education with children.

  • Kelly Johnson

    (Pittsfield, Pike County) Kelly Johnson is a professional face painter with a business called Color Your Canvas Face and Body Art. She is a founding member of the Pike County Art Guild. The Art Guild works to expand art awareness and offers activities to get young and old of Pike County to explore their talents. She is also a member of Picture Pittsfield, a civic organization revitalizing the Pittsfield area.

  • Renda Wallace

    (Rushville, Schuyler County) Renda Wallace is the President of a non-profit performance art theater in Rushville called Pandora’s Playhouse. Active in her community, Wallace also runs a home-based childcare center.

  • Carey Thacker

    (Oquawka, Henderson County) is an artist, business owner and wellness consultant offering intuitive guidance with therapeutic relaxation services. She also works with city government and is a founder of the newly formed Henderson County Local Artists.
